I am an artist in Kishorn, Scotland. My work is an exploration of memory, narrative and sense of place - inspired by folklore, storytelling and the Scottish landscape. I create mixed media pieces with an ode to texture and I love the process of navigating the wild, untameable nature of watercolour.

My practice burrows into mapping memory, history, voices and narratives that emerge from places and the way they make us feel or behave. I am particularly drawn to the margins of places, the borders the hedgerows, a whispered wave or hoar hidden rock.

I live in a small one-time crofting village situated next to a hamlet on the edge of a loch where I spend a lot of my time scurrying about the shore looking for sea glass, pottery sherds, seals and otters before returning to my library to document my thoughts.

At heart I am a storyteller, embellishing truth and reality with the telling of beautiful untrue things, the artist’s view on a dream dreamt in the presence of reason. This is my space and you are welcome to share it.
